System Liquidity
System liquidity closed the week in surplus at ₦3.61 trillion following heavy OMO and NTB auction settlements, pushing average funding costs up slightly to 22.11%.
Treasury Bills
he Treasury Bills secondary market closed with mixed-to-bullish sentiment following strong demand at the primary auctions, though the average benchmark yield rose 64bps week-on-week to 19.21%.
FGN Bonds
Domestic FGN bond yields eased by 3bps week-on-week to average 16.64% as selective buying interest in short and mid-tenor papers offset initial cautious trading.
Eurobonds
Nigerian sovereign Eurobonds recorded mild yield compression amid elevated U.S. Treasury yields, while market attention turned to FTSE Russell’s frontier market status restoration and Access Bank’s upcoming debt maturities.
Nigerian Equities
The Nigerian equities market snapped its weekly losing streak as gains in oil & gas and banking heavyweights pushed the All-Share Index up 0.90% to 241,298.47.
Foreign Exchange
The Naira appreciated 73bps to close at ₦1,337.00/$ at the NAFEM window, supported by a $478.41 million weekly boost in external reserves to $53.31 billion.
Commodities
Brent crude fell to $89.30 a barrel on easing Middle East supply fears, while Gold dropped toward $4,560 an ounce following hawkish policy remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh.
